The Challenge
Our client was having difficulty implementing their chosen strategy. They were looking for assistance with executing initiatives and providing executive level communications and performance scorecards. Our team provided expertise for the execution of organizational, technology and business process cost reduction and cost avoidance programs.
The Solution
We identified opportunities for the significant reduction or elimination of non-value added activities, resulting in reduced cycle times and over $200 MM in savings. Solutions included capacity planning, organizational restructuring and staff reductions to maximize operational efficiency. Outsourcing/off-shoring best practices as well as technology optimization helped to ensure cost avoidance benefits were met and maintained.

The Challenge
Our client needed to gain significant synergies in the areas of infrastructure, technical maintenance and Contract/Third Party-Management as well as for regional service functions. The cultural and technical challenges of designing and implementing optimal solutions involved complex aspects of people, process, place and technology.
The Solution
We utilized our well established Synergy Evaluation Approach to identify and quantify all the potential gains and savings available to the newly formed entity. We assumed responsibility for the program which included the coordination of all project activities and executive reporting. In addition, we provided implementation resources to hit the target integration goals months ahead of schedule.
Successful execution and oversight included multinational teams, coordinating dozens of projects in each target country, over a two-year period.

Our client is a world-leading health company producing a wide range of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. With more than 6000 employees worldwide, the company has the largest research & development investment in its sector with 17 R&D centers around the world.
The Challenge
Our client was rolling out New Product Development (NPD) processes, technologies and organization to support a new global strategy. A lack of consistency and differing views made mobilization impossible and the worldwide resistance to change was preventing the corporation from optimizing its time to market and portfolio management capabilities.
The Solution
We developed and implemented specific change management tools and methods to facilitate the introduction of the new technologies and processes. Redesigned performance measures and finance transformation contributed to a global buy-in of the new strategy at the C-Level and detailed work groups implementing best in-class solutions in the field.
Successful change was enabled by leveraging innovative scorecards, gaming simulations and various change management tools to work jointly with client teams within the framework of a multi-year Master Change Management Plan.
Lean Solutions: Manufacturing and Distribution

Our client is a multinational company and current market leader in high-quality tools and diagnostic machines in the automotive industry.
The Challenge
Our client had grown through a series of mergers and acquisitions; without proper guidance and standardization, our client was beginning to encounter a number of financial and operational difficulties. Our challenge was to help our client meet the corporate target of a 25% or greater return on net assets, to improve working capital, and to reduce the overall fixed assets.
The Solution
By applying lean thinking through a series of process discovery sessions, value stream mapping techniques, and supply chain analysis we assisted in consolidating manufacturing and logistics facilities, combined sales offices and warehouses, and provided lean office solutions to the R&D facilities. There was particular attention given to human capital issues in order to ensure no social disruption during the transformation.
Successful design and implementation services enabled our client to rationalize operations in nine countries through 18 different legal entities.
Information Technology Optimization: Media and Telecommunications

Our client is a diversified media company whose divisions include television and radio broadcasting, newspaper publishing, cable systems, and other advanced broadband services.
The Challenge
Our client had established an organization to maintain service operations for all of its cable and broadband service divisions. The organization expanded through brown field development with various systems, infrastructure and processes. Our challenge was to define, execute, and implement process optimization opportunities. We also needed to establish reporting, change, and event management measures and metrics to manage and monitor the implementation.
The Solution
Our team utilized their client knowledge and industry-standard expertise to lead the effort of optimizing core processes, developing a dashboard for core processes, and rationalizing and reconciling databases and systems.
Successful execution and implementation of the process and system changes enabled our client to monitor all of its 24 systems and 6.6 million customers.
